At the beginning of the 60's, a company by the name of Ludwig Schwarz & Co. GmbH began packaging tea in Hamburg.
One of its most important customers was the Ostfrie- sische Tee Gesellschaft Laurens Spethmann GmbH & Co. KG. Within just a few years, the premises, located in the neighbourhood of the Hamburg free harbour, became too small, and Ludwig Schwarz & Co GmbH procee- ded to erect a new factory in Buchholz, just outside the city.
The architecture of the new factory, which was built-in 1974, integrates harmoniously in this northern heath region. The factory complex has been expanded and modernised |

in a number of stages since 1974. The company terrain includes administrative, production and warehousing facilities.
In 1989, Ludwig Schwarz & Co GmbH became 100% subsi- diary of Laurens Spethmann Holding AG & Co. KG, and in 1998 the name of the company was changed to Milford Tea.
Milford Tea GmbH & Co. KG is specialised in the production of tea bags. The product range has continued to expand and now includes herbal and fruit teas, as well as black and green teas for the brand-name business of the Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft. |
